"B Cars"

some people call them "modified sportsman"
or "open wheel special" cars

I miss these, sorry but the Modified Sportsman class that
they are racing today just isn't the same.

Sorry for not knowing many of the drivers... It was over twenty years ago!
 
 

Transverse springs, I-Beam axles, steelies, sometimes even whitewall tires.
You won't see a bead lock here.
If you look close at some of the pics, you can see drivers in denim shirts...
There's even a picture of Sammy Swindell and he's wearing tennis shoes.
Looks like most of these started running a four-bar setup,
almost like a non-winged sprint...
 

I LOVED these cars... when Jeff Swindell started racing,
I asked my father to build me one!
Wasn't long after that that we stopped going to the races for some reason.... hmmm.
